Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026 · Package: com.ezkeyboard.app

This Privacy Policy explains how EZ Keyboard (“the App”, package com.ezkeyboard.app) handles information. It is written to meet Google Play User Data, keyboard/IME, and Google AdMob / advertising disclosure requirements.

A. Core principle (keyboard / IME)

The App is a system keyboard. We do not collect, upload, or sell your keystrokes, messages, passwords, payment details, or other text you type. We do not operate a backend that receives typing. Suggestions and optional learning run only on the device. Ads are never selected using what you type.

B. Information that stays on your device

  • Layouts, word lists, and the local suggestion engine
  • Optional personalized / next-word learning (only if you leave those features on)
  • Settings (theme, language, vibration, sound, unlocked themes, reward points)
  • Photos you pick for a keyboard background or the editor (used only for those features; we do not upload them)

Clearing app storage or uninstalling the App deletes this local information.

C. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows ads via Google AdMob, including banners in the app and optional rewarded ads. Google and its partners — not our typing pipeline — may process:

  • Advertising ID (AAID) and similar identifiers
  • IP address and coarse/approximate location derived from IP
  • Device and app information, network type
  • Ad views, clicks, and whether a rewarded ad was completed

This may be used to deliver, measure, and (where allowed) personalize ads, detect fraud, and comply with law. Google acts as an independent controller for this advertising data.

Google’s policies and disclosures:

Personalized ads may require consent in the EEA/UK and similar regions (Google UMP). You can use non-personalized ads or reset/delete your Advertising ID. Managing ads does not stop all ads.

In-app: Settings → Advertising Preferences
Device: Settings → Google → Ads, or Google Ads Settings

We do not sell personal information. We do not share typed content with Google or advertisers.

D. Permissions

  • Internet — ads and related ad services only (not to sync typing)
  • Vibration — optional keypress feedback
  • Photos — only if you choose a custom background or save an edited image

E. Children (Families / COPPA)

The App is not directed at children under 13 and is not designed as a children’s app under Google Play Families Policy. Do not use it if you are under the age required by your local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are not intended for children.

F. Sensitive input

Because this is a keyboard, it can receive whatever you type in other apps, including passwords. We do not transmit that text off the device. Use Android’s password fields and system autofill as provided by each app. Disable the keyboard if you do not want any IME to handle a field.

G. Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies)

  • Provide the App you requested (on-device processing)
  • Consent, where required for personalized ads
  • Legitimate interests for app security and integrity
  • Legal obligation where applicable

H. Retention

On-device data: until you clear storage or uninstall.

Ad partners: according to their policies.

I. Your choices and rights

  • Suggestions: Settings → Text correction
  • Ads: Advertising Preferences and Google Ads settings
  • Photos: if a save permission was granted, revoke it in Android settings
  • Deletion: Settings → Delete your data, or uninstall — see also Delete your data
  • More: Privacy Rights

J. International transfers

We do not operate typing servers. Google may process advertising data in other countries as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

K. Analytics and crash reporting

We do not include a separate first-party analytics or crash SDK that uploads what you type. Google AdMob may collect ad delivery and fraud-prevention diagnostics as described in section C.

L. Security

Settings and optional learned words stay in the App’s private storage on your device. Because we do not run a typing backend, we cannot remotely access your keystrokes.

M. California / similar “sale” or “share” for ads

We do not sell personal information. Where ads involve “sharing” device identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising under applicable law, you can opt out via Advertising Preferences, Google Ads settings, or adssettings.google.com.

N. Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. The “Last updated” date will change.
